Jerusalem, Open City for Learning World Peace
In this workshop Pia Gyger and Niklaus Brantschen exemplify, by means of a concrete project in Jerusalem, the process from spiritual inspiration to Field Experience to real political realisation in Jerusalem and in the international community. The central question of the workshop will be:
What if ? peace promoters from all over the world found schools, universities and centres for research in the City of Jerusalem and surroundings, where ways for healing and reconciliation could be learned and practiced? What if together, the Israeli and Palestinians were the host to people pot all cultural backgrounds and religions for dialogue and the pursuit of peace in Jerusalem and in the world?
What if ? Jerusalem, as on open city, became a place where the spiritual power of religions as well as kinds of business, health centres, art and education were used to contribute to creating world peace?
This would open new and unexptected perspectivesd which would provide both parties of conflict with a win-win situation at levels of identity-shaping, economic progress as well as of their international standing.
